ABOUT //Our Company In 1981, the late Robert G. Jones needed an idea for a new business. He decided to stick with something he knew, which turned out to be a good decision. After years in the industrial gas and welding supply business, propane seemed to be a natural fit. Propane is widely used for forklifts, home heating and, of course, the booming gas grill industry. All of this was parlayed into the business you have today, Youngstown Propane, Inc. From very humble beginnings, they are now one of the largest independent propane dealers in the state. As the company grew over the years gas grills and fireplaces became synonymous with the company. In recent years, spas and patio furniture have rounded out the company arsenal. Youngstown Propane has 2 locations and is operated by the Jones family, Bob, Rich, Scott and Gary (Roberts’ four boys) and his youngest brother Vernon. The company now employs 26 people and has served literally thousands of customers over the years. They have been a mainstay in northeast Ohio for nearly 30 years.
